
On May 13th, 2020, The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts officially announced the winners of the 26th Annual Communicator Awards. DMi Partners was honored to receive a Communicator Award of Excellence in Corporate Identity - Logo - Corporation/Business for our work on the Rastelli’s logo. The Award of Excellence is the highest award granted by The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts and fellow Award of Excellence winners include Amazon, ESPN Films, Publicis Sapient, Macy’s, PepsiCo Design & Innovation, Forbes Media, and Savvy. We are so proud of our Creative Director David Lachowicz and his team for their creativeness and impeccable design. Congratulations, David!
The work entered by our Branding Team was a unique logo for our partner, Rastelli’s, an online direct to consumer meat delivery service. Growing up in his grandparent’s butcher shop certainly gave David an edge, drawing inspiration from the knife racks from his childhood that hung on the wall. The logo was developed to establish trust and familiarity in the brand upon first impression. The logo mark and typography are a nod to the history of Rastelli’s - starting as a classic family butcher shop - and how it evolved into a modern leading online brand and nationwide food distributor.
Rastelli’s is unique and has been able to connect with their consumers during these everchanging times. They are fulfilling an essential need to get quality food to people who are not allowed to leave their homes or allowed to frequent grocers. As close partners with Rastelli’s, DMi’s Web Development team also built their ecommerce site to ensure functionality and an efficient user experience. The familiar logo and high-quality website have ensured that all points of the sales funnel are built for success while offering an important service in a trying time. Rastelli’s orders are arriving on the doorsteps of consumers and filling a void during a time of need.
