The gifts have been given, stockings unstuffed, and the radio is finally playing something other than Christmas music. The holiday season is coming to an end and we’re starting to look forward to what’s to come in 2017.
We’re excited to get working on the ambitious goals we have set for next year. We will be executing a variety of projects to optimize our campaigns and ensure a high return for our partners – we can’t wait to share the results!
Have you set your 2017 resolutions yet? If you’re having trouble nailing down what your goals should be we have a few suggestions.
Resolution #1: Get organized
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. The old adage still rings true, especially when it comes to marketing campaigns. Now is a great time to meet with your marketing partners and talk through your objectives for 2017. Hash out a plan that aligns with your goals and ensure there are concrete KPI’s in place to track progress. Schedule check-in’s now before your calendar fills up.
Resolution #2: Save more money
Sometimes campaigns don’t pan out as expected. It’s important to ‘fail fast’ and pivot, if something isn’t working don’t waste money on it any longer than necessary. In 2017 find a partner that can provide honest and unbiased marketing expertise and successfully manage your marketing budget.
Resolution #3: Lose weight
Get rid of the extra weight on more than just your waistline. The New Year is a great opportunity to reevaluate your priorities and focus on the projects that support your mission and garner the highest return. Determine what you want to accomplish in 2017 and cut any projects that don’t support that vision.
Resolution #4: Improve your relationships
Having a strong relationship with your agency is vital to successful marketing campaigns. Is your agency reporting on campaign performance? Can you reach them when you need them most? Do you know where your marketing dollars are going? If you can’t answer yes to all of these questions you should consider working with an agency that values communication and transparency.
Resolution #5: Manage stress
Make marketing as stress-free as possible. At DMi you constantly have three business units supporting your account: Business Development, Account Management and Technical Support. These teams work together to manage your campaign from onboarding to results reporting. Having a partner that works to stay one step ahead is critical – they should manage the stress so you don’t have to.
